A forgotten war heroine - check out our latest film in I Can Be She’s ‘Forgotten Heritage’ section on Noor Inayat Khan, a heroic Indian princess who came to Britain as a child and ended up becoming the first female radio operative to be placed in occupied France in the Second World War.
The storyteller in this film and author of the book on Noor’s life, Shrabani Basu, also appeared on Woman’s Hour today as part of her campaign to create a memorial in honour of Noor’s incredible bravery. You can listen again on BBC iPlayer here.
